About Nadiya
Let's explore together through play, art & games to connect & grow.
Nadiya Rosen, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (she/her)
My mission is to create a therapeutic relationship where kids are able to explore their perspectives, learn to thrive in a complicated world, and support parents in assisting their child with their growth. I work with children between the ages of 5 and 18, and it’s important to me that kids have a voice while also learning how to make their world a better place.
Parents and caregivers are integral partners in a child’s development, and I support parents with connecting with their child using the language that a child knows best: Play! Working with kids is my passion and my approach to therapy is focused on helping clients understand themselves better and experience their world in a healthier way through play, humor, and creativity.
I am a doctoral student at Florida Atlantic University and have supported children and families as a School Counselor and school-based mental health therapist. I am a member of the Association for Play Therapy and have participated in training on trauma-informed practices, expressive arts therapy, and Gottman Method Level 1 couples therapy. My background includes participating in the performing arts as an actor and saxophonist, and I enjoy connecting with artistic, creative, and often misunderstood or “defiant” children. I enjoy serving the counseling profession and conducting research on how to improve mental health outcomes for children and adolescents.
At the end of the day, we are all human. I will never claim to have all of the answers, but I will help your child and family find the best answers for your family system. I am excited to learn more about you, your family, and support you in creating a safe space to grow. Offering both in-person and telehealth sessions in Coral Springs, FL.
