Incorporating Sandtray Therapy Techniques Into Play Therapy Services

Ever wonder how sandtray therapy techniques can enhance your clinical skills and build your toolbox? This workshop is a hands-on introduction to incorporating sandtray therapy techniques into play therapy services for all ages.  Therapists will leave with sandtray activities to incorporate with their clientele that will aid in with a variety of presenting  concerns, ages and situations.  This workshop is excellent for novices and advanced practitioners to help grow and expand their processing skills. Therapists will be able to  incorporate learned skills into their clinical approach and techniques  into in person and online telehealth services. Ethical considerations, diversity and limitations will also be explored.

Participants should be able to…

• Define Sandtray Therapy versus Sandplay Therapy
• Identify ways to incorporate Sandtray Therapy into Child-Centered and Directive Play Therapy Models
• Describe at least two sandtray therapy activities to incorporate into services with children, teens and adults
• Describe at least two ways that sandtray therapy activities can be done in person and virtually during play therapy services
• Define Reflection, expanding the metaphor and other processing methods by the end of the workshop
• Utilize effectively at least three processing methods by the end of the workshop
• Demonstrate how to link sandtray activities to client's goals and outcomes

This workshop will be located at Berger Counseling Services' office in Coral Springs and limited to 15 participants. Your spot will not be guaranteed without completion of registration with payment.

LIVE: This  will be a  LIVE, in-person workshop. Participants must attend the entire presentation and will be awarded CONTACT CE's (2 Seminal & Historical Theories & 4 Skills & Methods). Approved by APT for 6 LIVE CONTACT CE Hours & Florida  LMHC, LMFT & LCSW CEU's.

Cancellation Policy: All  cancellations must be requested in writing and received no later than 30 days prior to the workshop to receive a 100% refund. Requests made after will receive 50% refund or transfer to a later workshop.  Substitutions (someone else attending) or transfer of registration to  another training date may be  requested.  All attendees who are not able to attend live will be provided credits for on-demand workshop for 6 NON-CONTACT CE's.
