Introduction To Art Therapy Techniques

I've got my art supplies...what do I do next?

We get it, grad school didn't prepare us for the real world...the one where clients don't like to talk or do worksheets all the time! Introducing art into therapy sounds like a good idea, until you realize you just don't know how to introduce concepts, process or expand a metaphor. This hands-on workshop will help alleviate those frustrations and get you on track for creating with your play therapy clients. This training focuses on the basics of art materials, how to introduce them, as well as directive and non-directive approaches to art making in play therapy sessions. This workshop will focus on reflecting, tracking and processing the art making. Throughout the workshop, methods to include art making into play therapy services will be reviewed and processed, including CCPT and directive methods.
