About The Event
Covid-19 has changed many of our lives, including the way we provide services. Telehealth has brought us into our client's homes and lives. We have had to create a whole new toolbox of art, play and sandtray activities to help children, teens and adults manage. Like many clinicians, there's a time we run out of fun, effective ideas. This three-part webinar will serve as a guide for play therapists to infuse their practice with art, play and sandtray activities into their telehealth play therapy that will aid in with a variety of presenting concerns, ages and situations. Play Therapists will be able to incorporate learned skills into their clinical approach and techniques into in person and online telehealth services. Ethical considerations, diversity and limitations will also be explored.
Participants should be able to…
- Describe at least two play therapy activities to incorporate into trauma-informed play therapy telehealth services with young children.
- Identify cultural considerations with play therapy unique to telehealth play therapy.
- Demonstrate how to link sandtray activities to client's play therapy goals and outcomes.
